As an Analyst – Lab Informatics, you will be responsible for implementing, supporting, and improving laboratory information systems. Your role will ensure smooth digital workflows, data integrity, and compliance with regulatory standards like 21 CFR Part 11, GAMP 5, and ALCOA+ principles. Key Responsibilities
1. System Configuration and Operational Support
- Serve as the system administrator or owner for various lab informatics platforms.
- Manage configurations, access controls, and master data management.
- Act as the primary contact for user support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
- Monitor system performance, ensuring smooth functionality and a positive user experience.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and data queries to aid laboratory decision-making and performance analysis.
2. System Implementation and Enhancement
- Participate in new system rollouts, upgrades, and module enhancements.
- Gather business requirements, translate them into functional specifications, and coordinate with IT teams for implementation.
- Conduct functional testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Ensure validation processes are followed for regulated environments.
- Maintain system documentation such as process maps, configuration logs, and change control records.
3. Compliance, Validation, and Audit Readiness
- Develop and execute validation protocols like IQ/OQ/PQ.
- Oversee the computerized system validation (CSV) lifecycle to maintain compliance.
- Ensure all systems meet data integrity and electronic records regulations (21 CFR Part 11).
- Support audit preparedness through documentation, internal reviews, and participation in inspections.
- Maintain audit trails, user access logs, and change management records as per GxP guidelines.

4. Collaboration and Training

Qualifications and Requirements
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, Information Systems, or related fields.
Professional Experience
- 5–8 years of experience working with laboratory informatics systems within pharmaceutical, biotech, or CDMO environments.
- Strong experience in system administration, support, and configuration for LIMS, ELN, CDS, and SDMS platforms.
- Knowledge of software development life cycles, system validation, and regulatory compliance.
Technical Skills
- Solid understanding of laboratory workflows including sample management, instrument integration, and data documentation.
- Experience with compliance standards such as 21 CFR Part 11, GAMP 5, and CSV requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- Familiarity with SQL, relational databases, or basic scripting is an added advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries.
- Hands-on involvement in system integration with enterprise platforms like SAP, MES, or QMS.
- Exposure to data visualization or business analytics tools.
- Project management or validation certification (such as PMP or GAMP 5 certification) is desirable.
