Job Description
The Medical Reviewer – Pharmacovigilance will be responsible for medical evaluation and review of safety data to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance. The role involves reviewing ICSRs, medical literature, aggregate safety reports, and contributing to benefit–risk assessments and signal management activities. Medical Reviewer Pharmacovigilance Job
Key Responsibilities
- Perform medical review and approval of scientific and medical literature articles
- Review Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) within the safety database
- Conduct medical assessment including causality, seriousness, and labeling evaluation
- Follow up with reporters to obtain missing or additional safety information
- Review and contribute to aggregate safety reports, including:
- Periodic Safety Update Reports (PSURs)
- Periodic Adverse Drug Experience Reports (PADERs)
- Provide medical and scientific conclusions for benefit–risk evaluations
- Review and support Risk Management Plans (RMPs)
- Contribute medical expertise to signal detection and signal management activities
- Ensure compliance with global pharmacovigilance regulations and guidelines
