Job Overview
The Medical Surveillance Specialist will be responsible for monitoring clinical laboratory data, composing medical narratives, and communicating with investigator sites to ensure accurate evaluation of safety data. IQVIA Hiring Medical Surveillance Specialist 1
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and evaluate laboratory results daily from sponsor-designated central laboratories.
- Analyze laboratory data from data management systems or eDC platforms at scheduled intervals.
- Review laboratory results according to protocol-specific reference ranges and identify clinically significant changes.
- Contact investigator sites for additional clinical details as required and report findings to the project team.
- Serve as the liaison between IQVIA’s Medical Services Department, sponsors, and central laboratories.
- Maintain updated knowledge of laboratory procedures and medical monitoring standards.
- Identify and report significant trends or shifts in laboratory data to IQVIA Medical Advisors.
- Support project setup activities and participate in project meetings when needed.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable SOPs, guidelines, and study protocols.

Qualifications & Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or allied health disciplines (Pharmacy, Nursing, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Physiotherapy, or equivalent).
- 2–6 years of total experience, with at least 2.5 years in medical surveillance or related roles.
- Strong technical and analytical ability to interpret clinical and laboratory data.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Proficiency in data management and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, sponsors, and clients.
