Job Overview
The Operations Specialist 1 at IQVIA plays a vital role in managing and processing pharmacovigilance and safety data. This position involves reviewing, assessing, and distributing safety information received from multiple sources in compliance with global regulatory standards, SOPs, and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Prioritizing and completing assigned trainings on time.
- Processing safety data according to applicable regulations, SOPs, and project requirements.
- Performing Pharmacovigilance (PV) activities, including:
- Collecting and tracking incoming Adverse Events (AEs) or endpoint information.
- Determining initial/update status of incoming safety events.
- Performing database entry and coding of AEs and products.
- Writing case narratives and conducting literature-related activities.
- Meeting project-based quality, productivity, and delivery standards.
- Ensuring compliance with project-specific procedures and internal policies.
- Reading and acknowledging all relevant SOPs (IQVIA and client-specific).
- Creating, maintaining, and tracking case records as per project plan.
- Identifying quality issues and escalating them to senior team members.
- Demonstrating problem-solving and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Liaising with cross-functional teams such as:
- Project Management
- Clinical Operations
- Data Management
- Medical Monitors and Investigators
- Mentoring new team members, if assigned.
- Attending project team meetings and sharing updates or challenges with the Operations Manager.
- Supporting departmental initiatives and ensuring 100% compliance with company standards.
Additional Medical Review Responsibilities

- Conduct medical review of non-serious AEs/ADRs, including checking for accuracy in coding, causality assessment, expectedness, and completeness.
- Communicate necessary case corrections with team leads.
- Maintain proper documentation for all communications and medical evaluations.
Qualifications and Eligibility
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or a related field (required).
- Candidates with a High School Diploma in a scientific or healthcare discipline may also apply if they have relevant experience.
Experience:
- 0 to 3 years of relevant experience, including up to 1 year of Pharmacovigilance experience (preferred).
- Freshers with strong scientific and medical knowledge are encouraged to apply.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Good knowledge of medical terminology and clinical research processes.
- Familiarity with Safety Databases and client systems.
- Understanding of global pharmacovigilance regulations.
