Key Responsibilities
1. Method Development and Validation
- Perform bioanalytical method development for the quantification of drugs and metabolites in biological samples such as plasma, serum, or urine.
- Conduct method validation in accordance with regulatory guidelines (e.g., FDA, EMA, ICH).
- Optimize analytical conditions for accuracy, precision, selectivity, and sensitivity.
2. Analytical and Instrumental Work
- Set up, calibrate, and maintain analytical systems such as HPLC, LC-MS/MS, and related instruments.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of analytical equipment to ensure data reliability.
- Investigate and resolve analytical, instrumental, or procedural issues in consultation with supervisors.
3. Documentation and SOP Compliance
- Prepare, review, and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as per laboratory and project requirements.
- Ensure strict adherence to all current SOPs during daily work activities.
- Document all experimental work, raw data, calculations, and results accurately and systematically.
- Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with GLP (Good Laboratory Practices).
4. Sample Analysis
- Conduct subject sample analysis for bioequivalence and pharmacokinetic studies.
- Participate in incurred sample re-analysis (ISR) to confirm data reproducibility.
- Compile and archive raw data, calibration curves, and final analytical reports after completion.
5. Laboratory Maintenance and Safety
- Ensure calibration, maintenance, and performance qualification of all laboratory instruments.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas according to GLP standards.
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure that team members are aware of laboratory safety guidelines.
- Report any safety incidents, deviations, or instrument malfunctions immediately to the supervisor.
6. Reporting and Coordination
- Report daily activities to the Group Leader or Project Manager.
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Support team members in troubleshooting analytical challenges and maintaining project timelines.
Educational Qualifications
- B.Sc in Science (preferably Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Life Sciences)
- M.Sc / MS (Science) in Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related fields
Candidates with a postgraduate degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or Bioanalytical Research will be preferred.
Key Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of Bioanalytical Method Development and Validation.
- Understanding of GLP, GCP, and regulatory guidelines.
- Proficiency in analytical techniques like HPLC and LC-MS/MS.
