Key Responsibilities – Senior Specialist, Case Processing
- Perform triage and initial validity assessment of cases, including spontaneous, health authority, clinical trial, and literature cases
- Conduct accurate data entry into pharmacovigilance (PV) databases
- Perform initial ICSR assessment, where applicable
- Evaluate the need for expedited reporting to Health Authorities or client partners, including adherence to reporting timelines
- Prepare standard regulatory reporting forms such as CIOMS I, MedWatch forms, and XML files
- Prepare and send follow-up requests for missing or additional safety information
- Submit ICSRs to Health Authorities and client partners
- Ensure complete and compliant case documentation and case closure
- Conduct quality checks of ICSRs to ensure compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and best practices
- Perform ICSR search and retrieval from EVWEB database and conduct company versus non-company case assessments
- Mentor and support new joiners by guiding them on company processes and fostering a collaborative learning environment
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor in line with process requirements
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of pharmacovigilance case processing and regulatory requirements
- Hands-on experience with ICSR lifecycle management
- Knowledge of expedited and non-expedited reporting timelines
- Experience with PV databases and EVWEB
- High attention to detail and strong quality orientation
- Ability to mentor junior team members
- Strong documentation and communication skills
