The Statistical Programmer II works under the supervision of senior programmers and programming management, supporting clinical trials through statistical programming deliverables while mentoring junior programmers. Statistical Programmer II Job at Novotech
Key Responsibilities
1. Clinical Studies & Projects
- Review clinical study protocols from a statistical programming perspective
- Estimate programming workload, timelines, and risk mitigation plans
- Develop and maintain SDTM and ADaM dataset specifications
- Perform peer review of SDTM/ADaM specifications prepared by junior staff
- Program SDTM, ADaM, analysis datasets, tables, figures, and listings (TFLs)
- Ensure compliance with internal programming standards and data conventions
- Maintain well-documented, traceable SAS programs
- Manage study documentation, programming files, and timesheets
2. Team & Section Responsibilities
- Participate in Statistical Programming, Biostatistics, and Biometrics meetings
- Mentor junior programmers on technical and process-related topics
3. Software & Tools
- Contribute to the development of SAS macros and programming conventions
4. Compliance & SOPs
- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, corporate policies, and SOPs
- Follow SOPs related to study design, protocol development, and programming outputs
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Educational Qualification:
- Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field
OR - Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
Statistical Programmer II Job at Novotech
Experience:
- 1 year of relevant experience with a Master’s degree
OR - 2 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree
- Prior experience in pharmaceutical companies, CROs, or clinical research
- Hands-on experience using SAS programming for clinical studies
Required Skills
- Strong SAS programming skills
- Knowledge of CDISC standards (SDTM & ADaM)
- Ability to work independently on technical deliverables
- Good documentation and organizational skills
- Strong communication and mentoring abilities
