Role Overview – Technical Assistant / Officer, Warehouse Department
This role is specifically designed for freshers and early-career professionals who want to gain hands-on experience in pharma warehouse operations. As a Technical Assistant / Officer in the Warehouse Department, you will be working closely with:
- Warehouse supervisors
- Production teams
- Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC)
- Purchase and planning teams

You will be responsible for ensuring that raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods are received, stored, handled, and issued as per GMP, GDP, and company SOPs.
Detailed Key Responsibilities

1. Material Receipt & Verification
- Receive Raw Materials (RM) and Packaging Materials (PM) as per the Approved Vendor List (AVL)
- Verify incoming materials for:
- Quantity
- Quality status

- Ensure correct GRN (Goods Receipt Note) entry and documentation as per SOP
2. Systematic Storage & Segregation
- Store RM and PM systematically, following material classification and storage mapping
- Ensure proper segregation and identification of all materials, including:
- Quarantine
- Released
- Rejected
- Under test
- Ensure correct labelling for all stocks as per GMP and GDP requirements
3. Warehouse Housekeeping & Safety
- Oversee safe loading and unloading of materials
- Support material movement within the warehouse and to relevant production/dispensing areas
- Maintain daily warehouse cleaning and housekeeping activities in line with GMP guidelines
- Ensure storage areas, racks, and material handling equipment are maintained in a safe and compliant condition
4. Environmental Monitoring – Temperature, RH & Differential Pressure
- Perform daily monitoring and logging of:
- Temperature
- Relative Humidity (RH)
- Differential pressure across specific rooms/areas
- Ensure all environmental parameters are within specified limits for material safety and regulatory compliance
- Immediately escalate deviations if any out-of-limit condition is observed
5. Equipment Verification & Documentation
- Carry out verification of weighing balances as per SOP
- Maintain calibration and verification records for balances and other critical equipment
- Document readings, checks, and verifications in appropriate logbooks and formats
6. Issuance & Dispensing Support
- Issue raw materials and packaging materials against approved process orders
- Ensure batch-wise material staging in designated dispensing areas
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely material availability for manufacturing and packing operations
7. Finished Goods Handling
- Receive finished goods from the packaging department
- Manage storage of finished products in designated areas with proper identification and labelling
- Ensure that FIFO/FEFO (First In, First Out / First Expiry, First Out) principles are followed wherever applicable
8. Inventory, Stock Checks & Audits
- Conduct physical stock verification periodically
- Assist during:
- Internal audits
- Customer audits
- Regulatory inspections
- Support reconciliation of stocks and investigation of variances, if any
9. Documentation, Logs & Records
- Maintain accurate records for:
- Pass Box cleaning
- De-dusting tunnel cleaning
- Deep freezer and Cold Room maintenance logs
- Material movement registers
- Ensure all documentation is:
- Neat
- Legible
- Updated in real-time
- Fully compliant with GDP
Qualifications & Eligibility Criteria
