About the Role
The Forecasting Platform Specialist plays a key role in managing and enhancing AstraZeneca’s cloud-based forecasting platform. Key Responsibilities
1. Platform Management and Model Integration
- Onboard new or updated sections of forecasting models onto the cloud-based platform.
- Ensure smooth integration of Excel-based forecasting templates into the platform.

2. Reporting and Visualization
- Develop and update BI (Business Intelligence) and PowerPoint reports using the platform’s reporting tools.

- Ensure alignment of all visual outputs with corporate reporting standards.
3. Data Pipeline Management
- Set up and maintain new OSS (Operational Support Systems) data pipelines.

- Manage taxonomy updates and new additions by partnering with GIBEx and GA&I leads.

- Maintain and update the synonym list (in collaboration with IP&C) to ensure data consistency across models.
5. Platform Testing and Optimization
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for platform upgrades to ensure functional stability.
- Identify platform enhancement opportunities and communicate user feedback to improve overall usability.
- Support continuous improvement through proactive suggestions for automation and optimization.
6. User Support and Training
- Train new users and provide hands-on support for troubleshooting and platform navigation.
- Develop step-by-step training materials and best practice documents.
- Offer real-time assistance to teams during implementation phases.
Required Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as:
- B.Pharm
- B.E. (Engineering)
- B.Sc
- BBA
An advanced degree (e.g., MBA, Master’s, or Ph.D.) is preferred but not mandatory.
Required Skills and Experience
Core Skills
- 4 to 6 years of experience in forecasting, business analysis, or related roles.
- Excellent Excel skills with advanced formula knowledge.
