About the Role
The Records Management Associate will play a vital role in maintaining and managing both electronic and paper-based clinical documents within the electronic Trial Master File (eTMF) system.

Key Responsibilities
As a Records Management Associate at Fortrea, you will be responsible for: Fortrea Hiring for Records Management Associate
- Maintaining both paper and electronic documents for the eTMF in compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
- Collecting, indexing, and archiving newly received documents.
- Managing document storage, retrieval, and long-term archiving processes.
- Ensuring the security and confidentiality of all records and storage areas.
- Supporting the migration of paper-based records into the eTMF system.
- Conducting quality checks for document completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
- Assisting in audits and inspections, including presenting and describing RM tasks to auditors.
- Maintaining and updating document databases to ensure quick retrieval and traceability.
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives for records management processes.
- Providing training and guidance to new team members when required.
- Traveling occasionally (up to 5%) for client or internal site requirements.
Qualifications & Eligibility
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Records Management, or Library Sciences.
(Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.)
Required Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in records management within the pharmaceutical, CRO, or clinical research industry.
- Hands-on experience with clinical trial documentation and electronic records systems.
- Familiarity with ICH-GCP, regulatory requirements, and clinical document retention standards.
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Adobe Acrobat Standard
- Web-based document management systems
Preferred Skills:
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Experience handling scanning systems, imaging software, and metadata quality control.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
- General office environment.
- Occasionally lifting boxes up to 25 lbs for document handling and storage.
