About the Role – Clinical Data Coder 1
The Clinical Data Coder 1 position at IQVIA is a highly specialized role where you’ll be responsible for the accurate coding of clinical data collected during global clinical trials. Key Responsibilities
- Act as a Clinical Data Coder or Lead Coder for multiple clinical studies simultaneously.
- Manage the delivery of coding activities and stand-alone coding projects from initiation to closure.
- Perform validation, testing, and review of coding applications, reports, and datasets.
- Conduct query resolution, SAE reconciliation, and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
- Ensure that coding activities follow Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and SOPs.
- Collaborate with global teams, including data management, safety, and clinical operations.
- Contribute to the implementation of new coding technologies and process improvements.
- Maintain data integrity, confidentiality, and documentation accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
Candidates must hold a degree in one of the following fields:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm / M.Pharm)
- Pharm.D or Life Sciences (B.Sc / M.Sc)
- Medicine, Nursing, Biotechnology, or other related disciplines
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Clinical Data Coding, Clinical Data Management, or Pharmacovigilance.
- Prior experience working with MedDRA and WHO Drug Dictionary (WHODD) is mandatory.
- Exposure to clinical trial management systems or safety databases is an added advantage.
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of medical terminologies, anatomy, and pharmacology.
- Good understanding of clinical data workflows and coding conventions.
- Proficiency in database management tools and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with international teams and meet project timelines.
