ICON plc is hiring an experienced Project Manager – FSA (Feasibility and Site Activation) to join its global team. In this key leadership role, you will oversee and manage the end-to-end process of clinical trial site activation across multiple global studies. Your leadership and strategic planning will ensure timely study start-up, compliance with international regulations, and successful collaboration with global sponsors and cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities
- Driving Site Activation: Lead and manage site activation from identification through IP release across multiple countries and therapeutic areas.
- Study Start-Up Planning: Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive Study Start-Up (SSU) plans aligned with sponsor and project management objectives.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison for sponsors and internal departments such as Regulatory, Contracts, Site Identification, and Clinical Trial Management.
- Regulatory and Ethics Oversight: Supervise submissions to Ethics Committees (ECs), Regulatory Authorities, and other relevant agencies to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Document Management: Oversee the preparation and review of Master and Country-Specific Informed Consent Forms (ICFs), Subject Information Sheets (SIS), and EU Clinical Trial Applications where applicable.
- Contract & Budget Management: Coordinate site contract and budget negotiations, track financial metrics, identify out-of-scope tasks, and manage change orders.
- Timeline and Risk Management: Forecast, monitor, and track study milestones while identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure on-time delivery.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Lead cross-functional Study Start-Up (SSU) teams across regions, mentor junior project managers, and support training and team development initiatives.
- Communication & Reporting: Deliver study metrics, reports, and progress updates to stakeholders, and support client meetings, bid defenses, and kick-off sessions.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure all project deliverables meet ICON’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ICH-GCP standards, and local regulatory guidelines.

Candidate Profile
- Minimum 8 years of experience in global study start-up, feasibility, or site activation roles.
- Strong understanding of EUCTR, ICH-GCP, and international clinical trial regulations.
- Proven experience managing contracts, budgets, and multi-country timelines.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively.
- Hands-on experience collaborating with global and regional stakeholders for successful site initiation.
- Prior client-facing experience (Bid Defense or Kick-Off Meetings) is preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high attention to detail.
