Job Overview
Fortrea is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Medical Physician Specialist II to provide medical safety expertise for drugs, medical devices, and combination products during the post-marketing phase. This role requires clinical insight, attention to detail, and the ability to ensure compliance with global pharmacovigilance regulations while maintaining exceptional quality and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct primary medical review of cases, including assessment for seriousness, labeling, causality, adverse event coding, and narrative review.
- Document and update daily case data, feedback, and tracking information in relevant tools for efficient workflow management.
- Take full accountability for assigned deliverables while maintaining adherence to quality, compliance, and productivity SLAs and KPIs.
- Provide medical training and guidance to the case processing team after completing one year of tenure.
- Perform secondary medical review (QC) and retrospective review (QA) to ensure data quality, identify trends, and recommend process improvements (after one year).
- Participate in aggregate medical review and signal detection/analysis as required for ongoing pharmacovigilance activities.
- Strengthen existing client relationships by maintaining high standards of professionalism and communication.
- Support process improvement initiatives across Fortrea’s global operations.

Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Science, MD, or DO (or equivalent qualification).
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Language Requirements:
- English proficiency: Speaking at ILR Level 3+ or higher, Reading/Writing at ILR Level 4+ or higher.
Experience:
- Strong understanding of medical sciences, diagnostics, and therapeutic procedures.
- Familiarity with clinical research regulations, including ICH-GCP guidelines.
Preferred:
- Up to 1 year of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, especially in pharmacovigilance or clinical research.
- 1–2 years of clinical practice experience in a healthcare setting.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to drug safety and pharmacovigilance.
Skills and Competencies
